Explicit Teaching Posters

24/04/2014

Each class has 5 new posters displayed in their classroom which are the back bone of how any new curriculum is taught to students.

All teachers deliver all their lessons in this fashion which is explicit and ensures that every student can participate in the learning that occurs. Children are encouraged to not raise their hand to answer questions. Instead children are randomly selected using paddle pop sticks or name generators on the computer. This ensures that every student is switched on and ready to answer the question and is engaged in the learning process. Children only need to raise their hand if they have a question and need clarification.
